Loyola Law School Dean Joseph Scott delivered the nomination speech for President Herbert Hoover at the 1932 GOP National Convention, held in Chicago. With the Great Depression hitting the country hard, Hoover lost his re-election bid, to Franklin D. Roosevelt.
